Dating Sim: Beginning Progress

Hey all,

I have been working relatively a lot on the dating sim (compared to how much I should be studying to pass my last classes to graduate haha).

I have been focusing on:

-Drawing the story intro
-Defining and drawing the characters
-Working on getting sound and the actually stething aspect to work (hopefully when I do, I can just copy paste into the game)

I just played a demo for another dating sim called "Shira Oka: Second Chances". This was my first time playing a real, professional dating sim. (besides "Romantic Graffiti" for Saturn which was totally in Japanese) Check it out! www.shira-oka.com/
I know about this one from going to a Convention and meeting the creators. It was back in high school and I asked them if I could work on their project. They said sure, if I sent samples. My samples definitely sucked, and I was a little too busy, so it didn't go anywhere for me. But obviously they continued and made a great game.

I was very impressed. It's awesome how you can be talking to one girl, and then others join and you have to balance the conversation and make delicate choices in what you say. I was so immersed that I treated it like talking to real people.

This aspect is definitely something I want in the HB Dating sim, because I want this game to show how and when to reveal something strange about yourself to others. Some characters you'll meet will never accept it. Some will even humiliate you in front of everyone if you reveal it in the wrong way (that'll be rare). You'll have to choose carefully to get the rewards of HOT SEXY STETH ACTION.

Okay I should get to school. I'll try to get the intro story done, it'll be pretty cool (and super cute). I drew a lot for it, probably too much.
